Sola produces two basic types of skylight system: the flexible system and the rigid system.
Both feature a mirror-finished rim inside the clear roof dome, a highly reflective Flexi-tube or Rigid tube to carry the light, and the diffuser, a panel which disperses the light in the room.
Sky Tunnel Rigid is utilising a hard wearing mirror finish polished aluminium tube with 98% reflectance making it the highest reflective material available on the market. Suitable for large areas especially those with high ceilings. Most commonly used in Schools, Offices, Supermarkets, Leisure centres etc.
Sky Tunnel Flexi-Tube effectively channels daylight into internal areas such as domestic internal landings, internal bathrooms, hallways, walk-in-robes, WC's, etc. The Flexibility of the Tube allows natural light to reach these areas where Rigid system proves difficult to install.
Sky Tunnel XL2 Flexi Tube
Sky Tunnel XL2 Flexi Tube efficiently channels daylight into areas normally devoid of natural light. The Flexi-tube makes installation easy, requiring much less accuracy than with the rigid system. Sky Tunnel can be installed in less than two hours.
Sky Tunnel XL2 Rigid Tube
Sky Tunnel XL2 Rigid Tube is designed for commercial applications such as offices, retail outlets, warehousing and industrial properties.
Utilising a hard wearing, highly polished, rigid tube coupled to the large diameter dome and diffuser, natural light can be introduced to areas that normally require constant artificial lighting.
Large areas, especially those with higher ceilings, will see a greater level of light.
Alternatively, a smaller diameter rigid unit can be used in comparison to the flexible system. Sky Tunnel can be installed in less than two hours.
