What is the tubing made of?
The Flexi-tube is made up of layers of metallised polyester, a spring steel skeleton and a heavy layer of sola film, aluminium foil total of 63 microns thickness. The rigid tube is made up of high grade aluminium sheeting which is electrolytically brightened, anodized and PVD coated.
What is included in the skylight unit?
Everything needed to install your Sky Tunnel including 3 metres of Flexi-tube or 1metre/2 metres of rigid tubing (depending on order), plus step-by-step fitting instructions.

Up to 6 meters (on 535mm diameter units only), the shorter and straighter the more light transmitted.
How much light is transmitted?
Please refer to the Light Calculation section of the web site. It depends on the light exposure, normally 92% of the available light is transmitted over 3m of flexitube.
Will the dome discolour with age?
NO - Our square domes are made from an impact resistant grade A Polycarbonate with UV inhibitors.
Will the Sola Skylight Sky Tunnel suit all roof types?
YES - Because of its unique design the Sky Tunnel XL2 will suit most roof pitches. The square dome’s low profile is aerodynamic and unobtrusive. However it is necessary to specify whether you need flashing for slate, tile, flat roof etc.
